Donation Policy

Bridges International accepts donations to support its mission of strengthening communities through education, workforce development, community redevelopment, survivor support, resource navigation, and strategic partnerships.

Financial donations may support program services, outreach, community initiatives, administrative needs, supplies, events, and other mission-related expenses.

Unless a donation is specifically restricted and accepted by Bridges International in writing, donations may be used where they are most needed to support the organization’s mission.

Bridges International may accept in-kind donations such as:

School supplies
Books
Backpacks
New or gently used clothing
Non-perishable food
Hygiene products
Household essentials
Technology and office supplies
Training materials
Community redevelopment supplies
Gift cards
Other approved items

All donated items should be clean, safe, usable, and in good condition.

To protect the safety and dignity of the communities we serve, Bridges International may decline:

Expired food
Opened hygiene products
Damaged clothing
Broken electronics
Used mattresses
Hazardous materials
Prescription medication
Items that are unsafe, unsanitary, or not suitable for distribution
Items we cannot store, transport, or distribute responsibly

Donation drop-offs should be scheduled in advance when possible. Large donations, electronics, furniture, business donations, or bulk items should be approved before delivery.

Donation receipts may be available upon request for eligible contributions.

For in-kind donations, donors should provide their name, contact information, date of donation, and a general description of donated items.

Bridges International does not assign tax value to donated goods. Donors are responsible for determining the value of their donation and consulting their own tax advisor.

Donations are generally final. If a donation was made in error, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Donors may be recognized publicly only when appropriate and with permission. Donors may request to remain anonymous.
